3 Years Old!

Cason, you are 3 years old! What have you been up to lately?

*We went to your 3 year well visit on Friday and you were hilarious. Full of energy as always. As soon as Dr. G walked in the room, you started singing your ABC's at the top of your lungs--it was hilarious. You told Dr. G all your colors and shapes and you just talked and talked. He wrote very "talkative" on your report card--LOL. You are off the charts for your weight--you are a very big boy! You kept telling them you wanted a shot (you didn't have to get any this visit) so we let you watch Corbin get his shot and you QUICKLY changed your mind. Dr. G gave you a high five and knuckles when he was leaving and when you gave him knuckles you said "What up, dude"---it was hilarious---your daddy taught you that. Here are your stats:
---Weight 41.8 pounds (over the 100%)
---Height 39.8 inches (97%)

*You wear size 4T clothing
*You wear size 9 or 9.5 wide or extra wide shoes
*Your current favorite foods are yogurt, applesauce, toast, squeezable baby food veggies, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, muffins, pepperoni pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, pb&j sandwiches, most fruit, lasagna, and cereal. You still LOVE your milk and you are finally starting to eat noodles (you have been anti-noodle for almost 2 years straight).
*You love to watch animated movies. Your current favorites are The Land Before Time movies, Ice Age-Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and How to Train Your Dragon. You also love to watch Dinosaur Train on tv.
*You still really like your trains but your current favorite thing is dinosaurs. You got lots of new dinos for your birthday and you have been playing with them nonstop. You take your blue t-rex almost everywhere you go. You roar like a dinosaur SEVERAL times a day.
*You love playing outside on your swing set and riding your tricycle.
*You can sing lots of songs now. You usually sing yourself to sleep at night--VERY LOUDLY.
*You sing your ABC's constantly, you know all your letters and sounds, you know all the basic colors/shapes, and you can count to 20 mostly by yourself (you need a little help).
*You are not a big fan of coloring or creating art in general.
*Some of your funny sayings:
---"Don't say yeah, say yes"I told you this once and you haven't forgotten it. You even correct me all the time.
---"Are you happy?". You like to say this right after you have done something really naughty. You are really concerned about whether someone is happy, sad, scared, etc. You are really starting to understand emotions/feelings.
---"I will always keep you safe". We tell you this when you are scared and you tell us this too---so cute!
*You can dress yourself with very little assistance. Socks are the hardest clothing item for you.
*You are still not completely potty trained. You keep your pull up dry about 90% of the time and you are great about using the potty when we ask you too---you still don't tell us when you need to go. Going number 2 in the potty is another story. We are working hard on this.
*You are still scared of anyone/anything in a costume! You won't let the Chic-Fil-A cow get anywhere near you. Other than that, you are not shy at all. You LOVE to be around people and you love for everyone to be paying attention to you.
*You got your third set of ear tubes on May 4th. This set will last 2-4 years. Hopefully by then, your ear problems will be resolved.
*You are a really good helper. You help me with lots of things but most of all you like to help take care of your brother. You are such a GREAT big brother.
*I'm amazed at how much you have grown up over the past few months. You are so sweet, ENERGETIC, helpful, loving, talkative, stubborn, loud, affectionate, and so much more! You have such a kind heart and you bring so much joy to our lives---we love you Cason Ray!!!
