15 Weeks-November 26th

I finally gave in and decided to take some belly pictures so we can monitor my stomach as the baby grows. We just put up our Christmas tree so we took pictures in front of the tree. We are trying to patiently wait for December 10th when we find out the sex of the baby. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

November 5th-12 Weeks

We went for our 12 week appointment today and all was well. The doctor asked us if we wanted to know what his guess was for the gender and of course we said yes. The doctor thinks it is a boy but there are no boy parts yet (too early).  Therefore his guess cannot be confirmed until our 17 week appointment on December 10th. 

October 27th--11 weeks

I decided to tell the faculty/staff that I work with that I was expecting. We have a faculty meeting once a month and my friends and I decided to make a video to announce it at the meeting. Three other girls I work with are my good friends, around my age, married, and currently have no children. We decided to make it a guessing game and see who the staff thought was pregnant. I have to say I did get several votes but I wasn't the only one. Here is the video we used. 

October 8, 2008

We went back to the doctor on October 8th for our first official visit and everything was great. The baby had grown so much since our earlier visit. The heartbeat was 171 this visit. I am happy to say that I have been feeling great and I am very thankful for that!

Baby's First Photo

We went to the doctor on September 29th for a sonogram because I had a severe cause of the worries. I didn't know that I would be so paranoid as a pregnant woman--I worry about everything now! We were able to see the heartbeat and take home our first baby photo. The baby's heartbeat was 124 beats per minute. The little one was perfectly healthy :)

Test after Test

I took several pregnancy tests to confirm that I was in fact pregnant. Our first positive test was on Wednesday, September 10th. I woke Scott up at 5:30 in the morning to have him confirm that there was in fact 2 lines. 

We decided to tell our families the good news on Saturday, September 20th. We had a card made to show them. Scott told them to open the envelope to look at our Christmas cards. They were very excited when they realized that we were expecting! 

Quick Review

Scott and I both attended Whitehouse High School. We started dating November 30, 1996. I was just 16 at the time of our first date.

Several years later we had a beautiful wedding on July 16, 2005. 

We have the most adorable cat in the world, named Autumn. 

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in July and are excited to announce that we are expecting our first child! The due date is May 18, 2009. My birthday is May 19th so we could share the same birthday! This blog is to keep our family and friends up to date on our growing family.
