Christmas Fun :)

We had such a great Christmas this year! Cason was so excited Christmas morning when he saw what all Santa had brought him. I think there was just so much going on and so many toys that he didn't know what to play with first. Of course,  Santa brought him lots of Elmo toys and books. After Santa, we were off to East Texas to spend time with our wonderful families. We are blessed with such great families and we just had the best time. Here are some pics from Christmas this year....

(On a side note---Cason was wearing Christmas pajamas Christmas morning but when I went to get him out of bed---the poor thing had leaked through his diaper. Therefore, he is in rocket ship pajamas in all the pictures because I had already packed his other Christmas pajamas---oh well)

We couldn't get him to hold still for any photos...

We tried to get a picture of all 3 boys in their matching shirts but Cason made it near impossible---LOL

Elf Yourself :)

Ho, Ho, Ho...

Our first visit to see Santa went way better than expected but our 2nd attempt went just how I imagined it would be the first time--a screaming fit and me in the picture with Cason and Santa--LOL. We went to Bass Pro Shop last night with Lucy and her family to see Santa. Lucy and Cason were just great until it was time to see Santa. They were even practicing saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho", while we were in line. Both of them will only say, "Ho, Ho" though---they both leave the last one out.

Once we got up to Santa, they were not happy. Lucy was reluctantly willing to sit in Santa's lap as long as Erin was right next to her. Cason was in no way going to sit in Santa's lap even with me next to him. I tried to put him in Santa's lap even though he was screaming mad just so we could get a picture but he is just too strong. He wiggled right out of Santa's arms. Since our first visit with Santa went okay, I was hoping for the best this time around, but it just didn't work out. Needless to say, I had to sit in front of Santa and Cason had to sit in my lap. I was in no way prepared to be in any of the pictures so please excuse the way I look---dark roots and all---LOL. I did get the roots taken care of today though---thank goodness!

Lucy and Cason were holding hands while they waited to see Santa...

Santa was just NOT very popular this year---maybe next year things will be different....

They also had a reindeer carousel that the kids had a great time riding on...

And here are a few extra pics of our cute little man...

19 Months Old!

It was bound to happen and it finally did---Cason is officially closer to age 2 than age 1---so sad :(

Cason you are 19 months old. What have you been up to this month?

*You weigh right around 32 pounds
*You wear size 24 month/2T clothing, size 5 diapers, and size 6.5 W/XW shoes.
*You sleep 11-12 hours at night and take one nap. Lately you have been a very early riser.
*You eat a lot but you are still my picky little man. You have made some minor improvements over the past month with your pickiness and that is such great news. You love milk and all fruits so I guess I can't complain.
*You cut your last baby tooth (bottom left canine) on December 1st. I thought we were going to have a teething vacation but I'm sorry to report that you have started working on your 2 year molars already.
*You are saying new things all the time. You still use sign language for a couple of things but mostly you try to say the words yourself. You can say around 40-50 words that your daddy and I can easily understand (pronunciation isn't perfect for all of them). Earlier this week you even said, "Mama, love you" all on your own---it just melted my heart!!!
*Mother's Day Out is still going great. You love going and your teacher always has nice things to say. Your teacher still maintains that you have not thrown a fit there at school and I just find that so hard to believe but I'm very happy about it.
*You are trying very hard to master the art of jumping without holding onto anything. You're not quite there yet but you are getting VERY close.
*You are starting to recognize some of your shapes and attempting to say their names. Your favorites are the circle (cur-cle) and the star (tar).
*You think every ball is a football or "but-ball" as you call it.
*You are tall enough now to climb on every piece of furniture in the house and to reach the deadbolt on the front door. You've grown so much in the past couple of months!
*Right now you love dancing, jumping, reading books, climbing on all the furniture, taking your shoes off in public, playing with your shape sorters, and most of all you LOVE Elmo. "Momo" is your favorite thing right now. You would watch him all day if I would let you.

December Fun

Last weekend we went over to play in Addison. Cason had a great time playing but he definitely did NOT want to hold still for any photos :)

Yesterday, we went to visit Santa and we were prepared for the worst. Remember when we went to see Dora and Diego...

Last year he LOVED Santa! We saw him twice and Cason just adored him...

This year did not start off as smoothly but in the end we did get a picture without Cason screaming. We went to Willowbend because I love their Santa. We scoped out some other Santas but we really liked him. The theme for this year was Narnia  and there was a waiting room where the kids could play in fake snow and watch Narnia while they waited to see Santa.

The first time he got a glance of Santa there was a lot of screaming but thankfully they were VERY patient and let us ease Cason into his lap slowly after some talking. The Santa was SO sweet to Cason. After we got Cason into his lap there was of course more screaming. The first 10 pictures were of him crying but thankfully they just keep taking pictures until you get one you like.

Please don't misunderstand, we were not holding the line up forever---if we thought Cason was not going to settle down we would have took the screaming picture and left with a great memory and a good laugh. In fact, I was 100% sure before we got there that we would be leaving with a bad picture but I was pleasantly surprised. Cason calmed down and we got a great picture.

Cason even told Santa he loved him when we were leaving. And, of course he told Santa that he wanted Elmo (Momo) for Christmas this year. Thank you Willowbend for being so patient :) They even talked us into purchasing a frame to put our picture in....
