Poor little Cason has cut 2 molars and 1 bottom tooth in the last week and a half. He is drooling like crazy and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I think he is about to cut two more molars and possibly a couple of his canine teeth so the misery isn't over yet.
He did great at MDO last Thursday but unfortunately he brought home a cold from his little adventure. He has been dealing with it since Friday and it is finally about over---thank goodness. Just in time to go again on Thursday---hopefully he will stay well this time.
Since he has been so sickly and teething I have no new photos to upload but I do have a couple from a year ago---I can't believe he is growing up so fast!!!

Update :)
I just wanted to write a little update on Cason's first day of MDO. After I blogged this morning, I was able to be pretty productive in my time off. I visited the gym, tanned, went grocery shopping, and got my oil changed. I was SO ready to pick him up--it seemed like the longest day! I'm sure it will get better and better as time goes on.
When we went to pick him up, he was sitting in a teacher's lap with another child listening to a book--he was just fine. As soon as he saw us though he got very upset---bottom lip stuck out and tears running down his face. I think he wasn't sure if we were going to leave him there or not. As soon as I picked him up, he was fine. The whole way to the car, Scott kept trying to get him to go to him but he was holding on to me for dear life and he would scream anytime Scott would try to take him away.
His note for the day said he did fine but he did not nap---which was no surprise. She said he wanted to be held a lot throughout the day---which is unusual but I'm sure he was a little scared and it will get better as time goes on. He was EXHAUSTED when we got home and went right to sleep. I was SO happy to have him home!!!
In other news:
*He cut his two upper molars this week and he is working on a bottom tooth as well.
*He started using the sign for please--so cute!
*He loves to play hide and seek. As soon as we go into his bedroom, he runs and hides behind the glider and peers out to see if I am coming to find him.
*He is in love with the trampoline at My Gym right now.
*He started saying ball.
MDO
On Tuesday we went to meet Cason's MDO teacher at the church and she seemed to be just great. She has two kids of her own---one of which just started kindergarten on Monday. I think Cason will just love her. Several of the kids that are going to be in class with him were there with their parents as well and from what I could tell, I think Cason is one of the youngest. A lot of them were 17/18 months old----however, Cason was the biggest child there and Scott was oh so proud--LOL. They originally told us that he would still get to nap in a crib until he turned 18 months old but I guess since most of them were older they decided that they would all start out on nap mats. I can't wait to hear how that goes---I'm quite sure he won't sleep a wink but he could surprise me. He still takes two naps and they only give them one so he may be really tired.
Today was his first day of MDO and I was very nervous about dropping him off. The last month or so I have been attempting to take him to LA Fitness with me and drop him off in the gym day care while I got a quick workout in but it just wasn't going over very well. Out of the SEVERAL times I took him, I only got to workout twice. He would just be too upset and they would have to come and get me.
He did really good though when we dropped him off this morning, he just went right in and was happy to be playing with all the new toys. We couldn't even get a good picture of him and his teacher because he was too interested in getting down and playing. I did good as well (maybe Scott would not agree with me but I think I did)--there were no tears until I exited the building. I'm sure that would have been different if he had been screaming for me but he was fine when we left. Now that I've pulled myself together, I think I will try and go to the gym :)
I can't WAIT to go pick him up and see how he did. It feels so weird being in the house alone---2:00 can't get here fast enough :) I just hope they don't have to call me because he his hitting the other kids! Here are some pics from this morning :)

Oh, and he opened the front door on his own for the first time this morning!!! I guess we will have to keep it locked from now on!
A kiss for mom...
Cason and his teacher...
Little treats for his teachers. I wish I could be as crafty as my friend Wendie but I was just too lazy last night :)
Wendie made these cute treats--aren't they adorable!!!

My Little Cowboy
I let Cason wear my treasured cowboy hat around the house for a little bit today. It was autographed by my all time favorite singer---the King of Country---George Strait :)
He looks like such a cutie!!!

We took Cason over to the little play area in Allen again today and we had a great time playing around---I just wish it wasn't 104 degrees outside!!!

Poor little pinky toe and look alikes :)
We had a very stressful evening last night. Everything started out fine. We got Cason dressed and ready to go run some errands with us. We went to a furniture store and Cason was fine. He was walking around and climbing on all the furniture---no signs that anything was wrong. Then, we loaded him up and headed to Fudruckers for dinner. Once we got him in his high chair and gave him his food, he became very agitated. It kept getting worse and worse. I was holding him and walking him around which usually works like a charm, but he was getting more and more upset. Scott had to pack our food up to go while I took Cason outside. He was SOOOOO upset---he was screaming at the top of his lungs non-stop. Nothing we did worked. We just couldn't imagine---he has never done this (well at least since he was a colicky newborn). I checked his mouth and I could see huge swollen spot and a little blood on his gums where one of his molars is trying to come in. That hadn't been there earlier, so we thought maybe when he started eating, his gums got sore and agitated and that must be why he was so upset. It was just hard to believe he could be this upset about a tooth--he hadn't acted that way about any of his other teeth. He would get agitated, sure, but nothing like this. We strapped him in the car seat and proceeded to drive home. It just got worse and worse--I had to get in the backseat with him to help calm him a little. Then he started acting really strange and acting like his eyes were rolling back---and he would close his eyes mid-scream---it was so heart breaking. We knew it couldn't be his teeth. His doctors office was on our way home so we pulled in and a sweet nurse came out to check on him. In the meantime we took his shorts and shoes off trying to figure out if something else was bothering him. He kept grabbing at his right leg but we couldn't find anything wrong. The nurse checked on him and told us she thought it just must be his teeth and for us to give him some motrin when we got home. He continued to scream and act like he was in the most horrible pain. When we pulled into the garage I looked down at his feet (he had socks on but no shoes). It looked like his right pinky toe was very contorted in his sock so I took his sock off and he really had a fit. We have no idea how but his pinky toe had gotten in a bad position in his sock and when we took his sock off, we just knew it was broken because of the way it looked. It was pink and purple and separated from the rest of his toes. It was twisted and all contorted. It must have happened when we put his shoes on BUT he was fine at the furniture store and it didn't help him at all when we took his shoes off at the doctors office. The sock was keeping it in that painful position. We thought we were going to have to taken him somewhere for a broken toe but after a few minutes, it started to go back into position and he completely calmed down. By the time we got him inside the house he was clapping and laughing and was completely fine---a totally different child. We felt SOOOOOO bad----he was trying to tell us when he kept grabbing his leg but we couldn't figure it out. Poor little Cason---we are NEVER wearing those shoes again. Thank goodness it wasn't because of his molars because he has several more to go and that would have been torture!
On a side note, every since Cason was born people always say he looks just like Scott. I constantly hear that he looks nothing like me. I agree that he looks SO much like Scott and I'm sure he will look more and more like him as he gets older BUT I found some of my baby pictures and I think he looks a lot like me when I was a baby too.
What do you think?
Here are some pictures of Scott as a baby...
