Little Ears

Little Miss Chloe has be unusually fussy the past couple of weeks....starting right after her 6 month check up. At first I thought it was because of her shots, then I thought she might be teething, then I thought she was having tummy troubles getting used to solid foods. I didn't take her in to the doctor because I figured they would think I was crazy for taking her in just for being fussy---no fever, no other symptoms except for an occasional runny nose.

Then, on Tuesday night she was up for most of the night. She was SO upset and nothing could make her happy. Still no fever. She woke up screaming about every 20 minutes all night even while I was holding her. By Wednesday morning, she had a low fever so off to the doctor we went. He looked at her ears for about half a second before he said both ears had a very bad infection. So poor Chloe has her first double ear infection and we are on amoxicillin. We are praying that her little ears get better soon and than she is NOT allergic to penicillin like her big brother Corbin, and her daddy, and her Lolli.

Poor Corbin---let's hope Chloe doesn't look like this in a few days...

Sick little girl means extra snuggles....

She likes practicing with her sippy cup...

She can only sit for about a minute unassisted but she sure is enjoying rocking back and forth on all fours. I know she'll be mobile within the next few months but I sure am enjoying the fact that her only mode of transportation is rolling.

She LOVES our old jumper!!! I just got this short video yesterday because of course my phone ran out of memory space....

Life Lately

We had Kindergarten Round-Up for Cason! I can't believe in just a couple of short months I will be sending my sweet baby to kindergarten. He is so excited to start his new school---he doesn't even want to wait until August. I, on the other hand, am going to be a basket case when August rolls around.

I am SOOOOOO happy that we waited to send him to kindergarten until this year. I think he has matured a lot over this past year and I am so thrilled that several years down the road I will be getting one more precious year with him before he goes off to college.

We finally sold this precious crib that we have loved for 6 years.

Corbin loves the bunk bed and he did great the first week and now he seems to think it's party time when the lights go out. He runs all over the bed, hangs from the top bunk, and pretty much just has a little party  for one down in the bottom bunk. We had to have some serious talks and hopefully this week will be calmer.

The boys wanted to see the new Home movie at the movie theater so we decided to bring Chloe along and see how it went. Somehow we lucked out and we were the ONLY people in the theater for that showing. Chloe was fussy at first but I didn't need to take her out because we weren't bothering anyone. She quickly fell asleep and stayed that way for the rest of the movie. It's so funny the things you will do with your third child. I would have NEVER taken Cason to a movie!

We love Under Armour in this house :)

A little 3 year old attitude in this pic...

Chloe likes to mess with her headbands while I am driving. The other day she pulled it over her eyes and then decided to take a nap :)

We love our visits to the zoo..

Poor Corbin is always having accidents that involve injury to his head! This time he fell face first into our fence....

We had cowboy day at school today. We have 2 hats but one is a lot better than the other and the boys were fighting over the hats so no one got to wear a hat for cowboy day. Oh well---they look handsome without the hats :)

Happy 1/2 Birthday Chloe

Chloe, you are six months old already! What have you been up to this month?

*Weight: 14 pounds, 12 ounces (23%)
Height: 26.3 inches (67%)
Head: 16.3 inches (27%)
*You can STILL wear a few 0-3 month items but you are mostly wearing 3-6 month clothes right now even though they may be a little big :)
*You are wearing a size 2 diaper.
*You nurse 5 times a day and take 2-3 naps. You are sleeping great at night. You sleep 7:00-7:00 and you usually nurse once at 5:00 am. You have made it all the way to 7:00 a couple of times :)
*You only sleep on your tummy and you love your paci
*You started rice cereal a few days ago and you have done great with it. We've also tried oatmeal and I think you might like that a little better. Since you are 6 months old, we are able to give you baby food now. Your first food was squash and I think you liked it pretty good the first day...

You had a change of heart on Day 2 and decided squash was not your thing

*You are still rolling everywhere and you are beginning to sit for VERY short amounts of time (10 seconds or less).

*Your eyes are still changing. I'm going to guess that they will be brown or green. I think we have ruled blue out.
*You have started laughing but really Cason is the only one that can get you to do it. You ADORE him! I found this video on Cason's 6 month post of him having a laugh attack :)

*You love to chew on anything you can get your hands on---we are thinking you might get a tooth in the near future.
*You are so happy, easy going and you LOVE to cuddle. We LOVE you to the moon and back sweet girl!

I took some pictures of you on your half birthday (Easter) and I had a hard time getting a picture of you because you kept playing with your dress and looking at your toes....

So we took a couple more the next morning :)

All three kiddos at 6 months...
