Meet the Teacher

My handsome boys got to meet their new school teachers this morning. They both did great. Cason will be in Pre-K four days a week and Corbin will be in preschool 2 days a week.

We did not send Cason to kindergarten this year for several reasons---just to name a couple: he is a boy, he has a late birthday, let's be honest---he could really use another year to mature more, and because it's our choice and we can :)

I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy that I get another year with him before he starts kindergarten and I am thrilled he will be home with me every Friday. I'm sure I will be hysterical next fall when he starts school!!!

Corbin's birthday is August 26th so we won't be sending him to kindergarten the week he turns 5 either. It was funny today looking around his 3 year old class. The kids all have to turn 3 by September 1st so Corbin just barely made the cut off. Therefore, there are several kids in his class that are about to turn 4 in the next couple of months and he just turned 3 last week. He is definitely the baby of the class.

All of their teachers seemed great and we are excited to start the new school year :)

Cason was not thrilled about taking pictures before we left...

But when I promised him we could go look for Halloween costumes after Meet the Teacher he got a new attitude...
