Cason had his first day of school today! He started a new school today---one that is much closer to our home. I think we are going to love it---I sure did love the VERY short drive to drop him off and pick him up today. The only bad thing is that he didn't get into the Tuesday/Thursday class this year even though he has been #1 on the waiting list since February. That's okay though----we're fine with Monday/Wednesday-----we'll just miss seeing all of our friends during the week because they all got into Tuesday/Thursday classes this year.
I LOVE his two teachers! We got to meet them last week and they are both former teachers and have kiddos of their own. Things are going to be different this year----they expect the 3 year old classes to pretty much do everything independently. Including clean up after themselves after lunch which is fine and all except that Cason threw away one of our Pottery Barn Kids food containers because he thought it was trash. I guess we are going to have to talk about what we can and what we CANNOT throw away from our lunch box.
We had lots of "homework" to bring in for the first day: An apple, a rock to make a pet rock, a family photo project, and an "All About Me" sheet. He had a great 1st day today according to his daily sheet. I hope Wednesday goes just as well :)
I got to take this little cutie on a lunch date today with some other sweet babies :)
