Lazy Weekend

Cason's surgery went great on Friday. The doctor said they drained LOTS of fluid from his right ear. He had fluid in both ears but his right one was worse than we thought. The doctor said that Cason's adenoids were rather large so it's a good thing they removed them as well.

When he woke up from anesthesia he was MAD!!! He was mad last time but this was a whole new ball game. He screamed and yelled and was mad at everybody for about 2 hours. It took a while before he agreed to let the nurse take his IV out of his foot so we could go home. On the way home I turned around and smiled at him and he yelled at me saying, "Don't smile at me" in his meanest voice. Scott told him I love you and he yelled back at Scott, "Don't say I love you not one more time" in an equally mean voice. We just had to face the front and laugh very quietly. By lunch time he was cranky but in a MUCH better mood. Today he has been his normal, high energy self. We are so thankful that the procedure went well and that he hasn't had any complications since we've been home. He seems to be feeling good and that is such a blessing! We are just spending the weekend being lazy and enjoying some family time while Cason is healing. Thank you Harrisons and Kempsons for the great meal last night and for Cason's prize---that was so sweet of you guys! We are so lucky to have such great friends!
