23 Months Old

Yes, you read the post title correctly---this is my last monthly post before my baby turns two.

Cason, you are 23 months old, what have you been up to this month?

*You still weigh around 32-33 pounds. You have been this weight for a long while now.
*You wear size 5 diapers, size 2T clothing, and size 7 or 7.5 wide shoes.
*You take one nap a day and sleep 11-12 hours at night.
*You are still a very picky eater. However, you LOVE fruit and several other healthy items. Meat and vegetables are the things you are the pickiest about. You started eating cereal with milk all by yourself this month and you love it.
*You are talking more and more all the time. You still can't say your own name yet but I'm hoping you can by your second birthday. Your favorite phrase is, "I love you". You say it all the time---you say it when you want something, you say it when you've done something naughty, and you say it a lot for no reason at all---so precious! You love to say hi to everyone you see. If they don't respond to you, you usually keep saying it louder and louder until they do. You have been stringing together several 2 word phrases lately. I'll be happy when you are talking more and more and can tell me what you want more efficiently.
*Some of your favorite things right now are taking off your socks and shoes in public, jumping up and down, playing on mommy's iPad, going to the park, playing catch, playing outside in the backyard, building with blocks, and of course Elmo (Melmo).
*You love to point to my belly and say "baby". You will kiss and hug my belly and say I love you to your little brother if we ask you to----so cute!
*We are pretty sure you are going to be right-handed. I know this could change in the future but that is what we are thinking as of right now.
*You had your first trip to the ER on March 27th for a case of pneumonia. You even had to ride in an ambulance. Your mommy and daddy hope that never happens again.
*You are still pacifier free! You love sleeping with your lovey blanket instead :)
*You are getting to be such a big boy and your mommy and daddy love you very much!!!
