First Masterpiece

Cason brought home his first work of art today and it was so cute. It is his version of a red square and he was so proud of it. I immediately had to take it to Kinkos to be laminated for safe keeping :)

SO PROUD OF HIS WORK

Proudly displayed on the fridge...

His teacher said he is doing great during the day at MDO but the drop off and pick up is still full of tears. They have to pry him out of my arms in the morning and as soon as he sees me in the afternoon, he starts crying until I pick him up. I watched 2 other kids do the same thing with their parents this afternoon at pick-up. The teacher said they all start crying when they see their parents. He was so funny--as soon as I picked him up this afternoon, he started saying bye-bye VERY loudly to everyone (in his best country accent). The teachers were laughing because he kept saying it over and over until we exited the building--I guess he just wanted to make sure we were going bye-bye. Hopefully, over time MDO will help him lose some of his separation anxiety---but for the moment it has only made it worse. He is now MUCH more clingy with me, I think he is always afraid that I am about to leave him for the day. He is still not napping there but that is no biggie---he just takes a long nap when he gets home.

He uses the sign for please ALL the time now. I think to him it just means "I want" or "Gimme" but it seems so polite--LOL. When he really wants something he will start signing please very vigorously on his chest---it is hilarious!

Please can I have the camera mommy...

We took a video of him tonight before bed to try to get some of his talking and sign language on tape. It was not very successful--he wasn't very interested in talking and he wasn't talking as clearly as usual but you'll get the idea. He was mostly concerned with getting the camera out of my hand--Enjoy :)
