Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...
Little Corbin has been very busy the past few days. Right after his 4 month birthday he decided he would like to start rolling from his back to his tummy ALL the time including nap time! We still swaddled the majority of the time but we had been slowly trying to wean him out of the swaddle. Since he decided to start rolling, the slowly part disappeared and we had to stop swaddling cold turkey (for nap time at least). So we have been putting him in a sleep sack for all nap times and just swaddling him at night. It is not going well--AT ALL. But we are just going to have to push through and hopefully he will get used to it soon. The scary part is that when we put him down for naps, he immediately rolls over to his tummy and I am so scared he will suffocate! Most of the time he is okay but sometimes he buries his head face down into the mattress and sometimes his little arms get stuck in a bad position and he can't figure out how to fix them :(. The other bad thing is that while he can proficiently roll from his back to his tummy, he cannot roll from his tummy to his back---so he just gets stuck!
I'm hoping we will get this all figured out soon so we can all sleep better :) Here is a video of him rolling the day he learned how---it took him a while to figure it out. Now he does it very quickly! My sweet baby boy is growing up too fast!

Santa Visited Our House
Santa came to our house and dropped off some Christmas goodies for Cason and Corbin! He left a HUGE present in our backyard that Cason is in love with. Santa's elves worked REALLY hard putting this present together and we are just so thankful for his SWEET elves!!! When Cason saw the swing set for the first time he said "the park!". He thought the park was in his backyard----it was the cutest thing ever!

4 Months Old
Corbin, you are 4 months old! What have you been up to this month?
*You weigh 15 pounds, 5 ounces (50-75%). This is just about the same as your brother at 4 months---only a 3 ounce difference. Your weight gain has slowed down with all of your reflux issues. Hopefully over the next couple of months your reflux will settle down a little.
*You are 25.3 inches tall (75%).
*Your head is 16.5 inches around (50%)
*You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and a size 2 diaper.
*You still smile all the time and you have even started to chuckle.
*You can be very vocal when you want to and we think your baby talk is so sweet!
*You have rolled from your tummy to your back a couple of times. I think it was purely by accident but I'm sure before long, you will be rolling all over the place.
*At 2 months old you were sleeping through the night 8-10 hours straight. Now at 4 months you are waking up 2-4 times a night. I don't know what happened but I hope we can get this back under control.
*You still love to sleep swaddled, but we are slowly weaning you off of your swaddle. You can almost roll over swaddled, so we need to break this habit sooner rather than later.
*You are quite the little mover when you sleep. You can turn a complete circle in your crib---while swaddled! And you like to scoot over to the bumpers and bury your face in them. So unfortunately they had to be removed and replaced with the mesh breathable bumpers.
*You will take the pacifier when you are extremely sleepy but other than that you are fine without it.
*You are starting to hold on to toys for a SHORT amount of time. Of course, they go right to your mouth.
*A couple of days ago, I felt your gums and your daddy and I think we can feel the tip of one of your bottom teeth coming through. This is very early compared to your brother who got his first tooth at 7.5 months. The doctor said it could take a month or two to come completely out.
*You got your very first cold a couple of days ago. Some germy person got my poor baby sick :( . The pediatrician wants to wait until next week to give you your vaccinations after your cold is gone.
*You still have pretty blue eyes.
*You are such a happy, sweet baby! We love you Corbin Luke!

We love you Mimi
Scott's mom (Cason, Corbin, Kaegan, and Jaden's Mimi) lost her 19 month battle with breast cancer on December 19th. Her children, Scott and Angie, are two of the most kind, generous, thoughtful, and caring people I've ever known. I know that they learned this from their sweet mother because that is how she lived her life---so giving to others. Mimi was a VERY special lady and she will be missed greatly by her family and friends. I know she will be watching over us from Heaven where she is no longer in pain. We LOVE you Mimi!

Santa---Round 3
Corbin has been to see Santa by himself....
Cason went with Madi and Lucy and refused to leave Scott's arms....
And yesterday I took Corbin and Cason to see Santa together. We have been talking about Santa a lot (after I saw how scared he was a couple of weeks ago) and Cason had decided that he would like to tell Santa he wanted some presents for Christmas. No particular item but just presents in general. He said he would sit on his lap and he had been asking me for several days when he could go see Santa. I was still not sure what he would do. My expectations were VERY low. I didn't think I would be able to get Cason on Santa's lap at all (even though he said he would sit in his lap----he likes to talk a big game)---I figured this would be a screaming picture. But to my surprise, Cason actually sat in his lap and we got a couple of smiles!
If was funny though because right when it was time to get out of the stroller and get in his lap, Cason quickly lost his excitement. He got back in the stroller and said he wanted to go home. I told him if he wanted some presents, he would need to go sit in Santa's lap and tell him. Cason said, "No mommy, my don't want presents". (he says my for I) After some bribery and some help from the sweet Santa we got him to sit in his lap with no tears----yea! Of course they are both not smiling but I knew that would never happen! When the pictures were over Cason PROMPTLY hopped out of his lap and got back into the stroller and asked for his candy cane to be unwrapped---ha!
I tried to run some errands at the mall after we saw Santa but shopping with two little ones in a crowded mall proved to be unsuccessful. Cason was singing Jingle Bells as loud as he could. It was very cute and all BUT people were staring at us---which he loves so he just got louder and louder AND he was pulling and reaching for everything that was within his arms reach from the stroller. He was putting on such a good show that I called it a day and we came home---LOL
This is Cason right before school today. They had their school Christmas party today---it was a Happy Birthday Jesus party. I would have taken some pictures at school but it was raining so hard when I got there and when we left so I was just too afraid the camera would get wet so I left it in the car. It was a cute little party----they tried to get the kids to sing a couple of songs for the parents but of course 99% of them just sat there and stared at us (Cason included). They are so precious!

Gingerbread Fun
We went over to Kathryn and Madi's house today to do some gingerbread house decorating with them and Lucy, Lily, and Erin. (Cason had a gingerbread train.) Kathryn had everything set up SO cute. Thanks Kathryn and Madi for having us over---we had such a great time! Kathryn's mom was there to help with the two babies so we could concentrate on the big kids and that was such a HUGE help!
The kiddos had funeating candy decorating their houses. It was so hard to convince them to put the candy on their house and not in their mouth. And even when we did get them to put the candy on their house, they still wanted to take it right back off and put it in their mouth (probably tasted even better with a little icing on it). Cason was even scooping sprinkles off his tray and trying to eat those! It was hilarious and the kiddos were having a blast. It was such a fun morning!
