16 Months Old

Chloe, you are 16 months old already! What have you been up to this month?

*You are still wearing a few 9 month clothes but you mostly wear 12 month clothing now.
*Your foot has finally grown to a small size 3 :) Most walking shoes start at size 4 or 5. I don't know why they don't make more shoes for babies with small feet. I did buy you a pair of tennis shoes in a size 4---they are a little too big but that means you have some room to grow.
*You are still wearing a size 3 diaper.
*You have finally graduated to one nap a day most of the time. It's been a really hard transition so I hope you get adjusted to it soon. For now, you have a very early bedtime :)
*You don't eat very much and I hope that will change as you get older.
*You still will only drink out of a straw cup.
*You can say mama, dada, hi, eye, uh-oh. Pretty much the same words for a long time now---I can't wait to start hearing more of your precious voice.
*You can use sign language for more, milk, all done, and eat.
*You will make the animal sounds for cows, monkeys, and pigs.
*You love to shake your head yes whenever you want something (even if we don't ask you will start shaking your head yes if you see something you want).
*You are very friendly to strangers as long as they don't try to get near you. You LOVE to wave and say hi to everyone we pass when we are out running errands.
*You want to be put straight to bed at night. You point to the bed and you want us to put you right in (no rocking).
*No new teeth this month. You still have 4 total.
*You LOVE to play outside. If someone is going outside they better be ready to take you with them or you will get very sad.
*You love your brothers and you are always happy to give them a hug or kiss.
*You love to practice blowing kisses too :)

I made the kiddos semi-matching Valentine's Day shirts and they wore them on Chloe's 16 month birthday :)

All 3 kiddos before Cason went to school...

Then, Chloe, Corbin and I went to PlayStreet Museum to have some fun---they both love it there!

Catching up

Sibling love :)

Chloe loves to show people her belly button...

Look at my handsome little basketball player! He is really loving basketball and he's going to be so sad when it's over next weekend :(

One of the other moms caught Cason shooting a basket on video :)

The Tooth Fairy made another visit to our house and he has 2 more loose teeth!

Corbin loves sweets :)

Poor Corbin always falls and leaves marks on his face. Here is scratch number 3,672 on his sweet little nose :)

You might have thought since we were struck with the dreaded stomach virus that surely the rest of the month would go illness free. You would be wrong if that's what you were thinking...

Scott had a month long cold/respiratory virus

Then he shared with Chloe, Cason, Corbin, and mommy

Poor Chloe felt awful and had a fever for days. She couldn't breathe because she had so much drainage which turned into a double ear infection. And she would drool all day because she was leaving her mouth open to breathe---poor baby! She is finally feeling better.

I had to break out the nebulizer for the two boys...

Magformers/Magnatiles continue to be a favorite toy around our house...

15 Months Old

Chloe, I can't believe you are 15 months old already!

This is what you've been up to this month...

*Weight: 20 pounds, 13 ounces (43%)
*Height: 30.5 inches (46%)
*Head: 18 inches (50%)
*You can still wear 6-9 month clothing and you are wearing 12 month clothing as well.
*You have the tiniest feet---size 2 (for a 0-6 month old)
*You wear a size 3 diaper
*You sleep 12 hours at night and you are still taking 2 naps a day. We have shortened your morning nap to 45 minutes max.
*You still will only drink out of a straw cup---you cannot seem to figure out how to tilt a sippy cup.
*Your eating is still limited but it is getting better. Your favorite foods are blueberries, baby goldfish, yogurt, mac and cheese, and any and all flavors of the squeezable baby food pouches.
*You can say mama, dada, and uh-oh. You used to say hi but we haven't heard you say hi in quite a while. You don't say very much but I can tell that you are really starting to understand a lot of words/phrases.
*You can use sign language for milk, more, and all done.
*You are clapping, waving, pointing, giving hugs and kisses, dancing, walking everywhere, and climbing on everything. You still fall a lot but you are really getting the hang of walking.
*You LOVE to play outside even though you still cannot stand to touch the grass.
*You will dance anytime you hear music.
*You love playing with your brothers and their toys.
*You will point to your ears, toes, hair, tongue, and belly button when we ask. You will point to eyes, nose and mouth on others but not yourself :)
*You love your paci!
*You have a big case of separation anxiety and stranger danger! When we go to the doctor's office, you will start screaming if anyone even looks your direction.
*You got two new teeth this month! Both on the top. You now have 4 teeth total :)
*You will hit and attempt to bite if someone makes you mad :(
*You love play peek-a-boo, pat-a-cake, and hide and seek. You also love to grab something you are not supposed to have and take off as fast as you can laughing :)
*You are such a happy and sweet little girl!

And it has become impossible to get a picture of her lately---so this is the best I could get...
