We went back to the Perot Museum with the Harrisons today and enjoyed a lot of indoor fun---it worked out perfect since it was raining most of the day. All the kids had a great time playing and Cason was thrilled to see the dinosaur fossils again and race the T-Rex! I only took pictures in the Children's area but the museum has several floors of fun that I didn't capture on camera today.

King George
In case you didn't know George Strait just got awarded with his 60th single and he turned 61 on May 18th---amazing! I make my sweet children listen to him in the car all the time. Cason knows he is my favorite singer and asks to listen to him often. This could be one of my children one day....
Last Day of School
Cason had his last day of school on Wednesday. We LOVED his teachers this year---we were so blessed with both of them and I feel like they were just the perfect match for Cason!
First day of school....
Last day of school with Emma---he loves that sweet girl!

4 Years Old
Cason, I can't believe you are already 4 years old! It seems like just yesterday you looked just like this....
*Your stats from your 4 year check up yesterday:
---Weight 46.8 pounds (97%) (You gained exactly 5 pounds this year)
---Height 43 inches (94%) (You grew over 3 inches)
The doctor said you looked great and that you were a very big boy! They checked your hearing and your vision and both were fine. You had to get 4 shots but thankfully they combined them into 2. The nurse gave you a pinwheel to blow on while she gave you your shots and that seemed to do do the trick because you didn't even cry. I'm so proud of you!!! You got to keep the pinwheel and get a sucker and sticker so you were a happy camper :)
*You can wear a boys 4 or 5, a 5T at some places, and a youth XS in clothing.
*You wear an 11 or 11.5 wide in shoes.
*You sleep in a big boy bed 11-12 hours a night and take one nap a day.
*You are starting to be a lot less picky about food. You try new things a lot more willingly which is great. Your favorite foods right now are cheeseburgers, PB & J sandwiches, applesauce, yogurt, pizza, cheese and Ranch sandwiches, salmon, smoothies, and baked chicken. You like almost any type of fruit but vegetables are still not your favorite. I have to sneak veggies into your diet.
*You get dressed independently and you do like to make sure your clothes match---LOL
*You mostly drink milk and water but when we make a Sonic visit you LOVE lemonade.
*You know your alphabet and all the sounds of the letters. You can sound out some words with help.
*You can count to 20 independently and higher with some help.
*You know all your colors and simple shapes.
*You love to sing songs and learn new things.
*Coloring & practicing writing are not your favorite activities. I think they require you to sit still for too long---ha!
*You went on your first ski trip this year and you did great. You also had your first soccer season and your first t-ball season.
*You are VERY inquisitive. You ask WHY about a million times a day :)
*You are still in love with anything dinosaur. You can name most any dinosaur---I have learned a lot about dinosaurs in the last couple of years!
*You love your little brother and want to play with him all the time. Sharing toys is hard, but we are working on it.
*You are very active and LOVE to be outside. You enjoy riding your bike around the neighborhood and you are excited to have swim lessons next month.
*You are very strong willed and spunky.
*You love to be around other children.
*You are such a sweet little boy. You tell me that I am beautiful and I look like a princess at least 3 times a day (it just melts my heart). I love you sweet boy!

21 Months Old
Corbin, you are 21 months old! What have you been up to this month?
*You are wearing 18 month and 24 month clothing (mostly 18 month).
*You wear a size 6 1/2 or 7 shoe
*You still wear size 4 diapers (since you were about 14 months old)
*You take one nap a day and sleep 7:00 - somewhere between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.
*You are a great eater. You will try most anything. Some of your favorite foods are fruit, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, oatmeal, applesauce, yogurt, turkey, cheese, and you LOVE sweets. You also have a new found love for dips. You think just about any food we give you needs to have something to dip it in.
*You LOVE playing outside--it is probably your favorite thing to do. You also love to read books, dance to music, play with Cason, and throw balls.
*You still want to carry your blue lovey around with you all the time. Anytime you are holding it; your first two fingers pop right into your mouth. We try to limit the blanket to the crib but it always goes on car trips with us :)
*You use sign language for: more, milk, please, thank you, all done, blanket, & eat.
*You got your tubes put in your ears about 7 weeks ago and we are really starting to see a difference in your speech. The fluid in your ears must have been causing your speech delay because now that the fluid is gone you are talking more and more everyday. You are starting to try to mimic our words now---even thought they usually don't sound just right; we are thrilled you are trying----this is very new for you! I think now that you can hear, your speech will really start taking off. We are still going for your speech evaluation on the 4th just to see what they have to say. Your words that you can say pretty good are dada, mama, no, uh-oh, bye-bye, night-night, ball, door, dip and more.
*You are a BIG daddy's boy! And separation anxiety is still in full effect.
*You are SOOOOO sweet and love to give hugs and kisses.

Cason's School Program
Cason has his end of the year singing program this morning at his school. It is always such a treat to see little kids singing! His voice could be heard nice and clear and he was as happy as can be up there on the stage. I was so proud of him. He got really into the movements for one song and I was laughing so hard that I had tears! You can hear Corbin getting a little annoyed at times in the videos but he did pretty good overall.
Here are the videos from this morning...
This one is the one where he was cracking me up!
I got this wonderful present from Cason today at school. It is a laminated book of a lot of his work from this school year. Each page has at least one picture of him. It is so neat to see how he changed over the course of the school year!
