Cason's Coat of Many Colors

20 Months Old

Cason, you are 20 months old, what have you been up to this month?

*You wear 2T clothing, a size 5 diaper and size 6.5 or 7 wide shoes.
*You take one nap a day and sleep 11-12 hours at night. You are still a an early bird.
*You weigh around 32 pounds.
*You are still a very picky eater. A lot of the time you won't even attempt to try food I know you would like.
*You are trying to talk more and more. You can say around 50-60 words but you know the meaning of tons of words.
*You are still trying to master the art of jumping without holding on to anything. You get so excited that you usually fall after jumping up and down once or twice.
*You have really started to enjoy simple puzzles and they have helped you with recognizing some of your shapes. You can put together your shape puzzles fairly easily. You are able to recognize circles, stars, and hearts in different books we read.
*You like to stack blocks/Legos just so you can knock them down. You think it is hilarious.
*You know most animals and the sounds that they make. You love to make the sound of a snake.
*You know most of your body parts and can say a few of them by name.
*You still love Elmo (Momo) and want to watch him everyday.
*You are still very "spirited"---your volume level can get very high (especially in public) and you can throw a good temper tantrum.
*You are also VERY affectionate. You give lots of hugs and kisses everyday. We have always said, "Awww", when you come give us a big hug so now you have started to say it too whenever you give someone a hug---it is so cute! You also immediately start blowing kisses when you know you've just done something wrong---I think you've figured out that it works well for you. You are such a cutie!!!

Snow, Boots, and Birds

Cason was napping when the snow arrived on Monday so I figured we would take him out after he woke up from his nap and our yard would be covered in snow---I was wrong. Clearly, we did not receive as much snow at our house as some people did....

Cason still loves to wear my Uggs....he always goes into our closet and gets them out...

This weekend, a little Red Cardinal decided that Cason's window was his new best friend. We have black out film on Cason's windows to keep it dark in there and from the outside all you can really see is your own reflection. Well this little bird thought he was seeing another cardinal (even though he was just seeing his own reflection) and kept pecking at Cason's window NONSTOP for 2 days. It was driving me nuts and keeping Cason awake. Scaring him away with a broom did not work. Scott finally had to put up paper on Cason's window to get the bird to go away. Reunited with his girlfriends

Cason was finally reunited with his girlfriends this past week after all the holiday traveling. We had a great time hanging out with all you girls and thank you so much Kathryn and Madi for having us over!

Christmas Fun :)

We had such a great Christmas this year! Cason was so excited Christmas morning when he saw what all Santa had brought him. I think there was just so much going on and so many toys that he didn't know what to play with first. Of course,  Santa brought him lots of Elmo toys and books. After Santa, we were off to East Texas to spend time with our wonderful families. We are blessed with such great families and we just had the best time. Here are some pics from Christmas this year....

(On a side note---Cason was wearing Christmas pajamas Christmas morning but when I went to get him out of bed---the poor thing had leaked through his diaper. Therefore, he is in rocket ship pajamas in all the pictures because I had already packed his other Christmas pajamas---oh well)

We couldn't get him to hold still for any photos...

We tried to get a picture of all 3 boys in their matching shirts but Cason made it near impossible---LOL
