*You got a new upper tooth on May 15th bringing you to a grand total of 6 teeth so far.
*You are still a great sleeper--you take 2 naps and sleep 11.5-12 hours at night. You do not like to be rocked--you like for us to just put you down in the crib--so easy. You must have a pacifier and a lovey to sleep with though :)
*You are a great eater. You do not recognize your full signals so we just have to stop feeding you when we think you've had enough. I think you would eat and eat and eat!
*You take milk from your sippy cup 3 times a day and have water with your snacks. You like all sippy cups---hard spout, soft spout, or straw :).
*You have started to be very opinionated with your meals. One day you may like something and the next you will spit it out and refuse it, then the next day you will eat it again---I do not understand this at all. Some of your favorite foods right now are cheese, all fruit--especially strawberries and bananas, crackers, peas, grilled cheese, deli turkey, yogurt, broccoli, bagels, waffles, applesauce, and ravioli.
*You can feed yourself with a spoon IF we put the food on the spoon for you.
*You are really into blowing raspberries and making Indian noises. By Indian noises, I mean where you put your hand over your mouth and move it back and forth against your lips while making a continuos noise out of your mouth. You do this all the time and it cracks us up---but every time we get the camera out you immediately stop.
*You are still not much of a talker. You can say mama, dada, dad, and bye. You babble constantly and try to say lots of words---they just aren't coming out right yet but they will in time :)
*You've started giving hugs and kisses---you love to give them to your puppy and you always kiss yourself in the mirror---it is so cute.
*Your favorite toys right now are a toy car that you can sit on and ride or push around-----and a little truck with a string attached to it that you drag around everywhere.
*You have started stacking and nesting cups. You are better at nesting than you are at stacking. You actually prefer for us to stack objects really high and then let you knock them all down.
*You are starting to play with your legos more. You love to watch your dad build things with them, only for you to knock them over.
*You know how to stomp your feet and dance---it is adorable!
*You shake your head no all the time.
*You're quite the climber.
*You love to fill a container up toys and then dump them out all over the floor.
*You like to play with balls. You are starting to get the hang of throwing them but what you really love to do is kick them. We may have a soccer player on our hands.
*You've started sharing. You definitely don't share all the time but any sharing is an improvement.
*You love the pool and anything that we are doing outside! I sure wish it wasn't so hot!
*You have entered into the lovely world of toddler fits. You throw fits MANY times a day when you don't get your way and you have the loudest scream I've ever heard. You can get SO mad, SO fast. I have no clue how to deal with these tantrums but I guess I'll learn as I go.
Here you are pulling your truck with the string...
Here are some 13 month pictures we took this morning, we couldn't get you to stay still for very long so this is the best we could get....
Here is a good pic of your new teeth (I think I see braces in our future)...
Here is your sad face...Prayer Requests...
Cason's tubes:
We went to see the ENT last Thursday and he decided the best thing for us to do would be to get tubes. Cason will be getting his tubes this Friday so please pray for him (and me). The procedure will only be 10 minutes long but I'm sure it will be the longest 10 minutes ever!
He did have some temporary hearing loss from all the fluid in his ears which the doctor said would be resolved almost immediately after the tubes are put in. I'm sure Cason will be glad to hear more clearly!
My sweet mother-in-law:
My sweet mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer and she started chemo a couple of weeks ago. My sister-in-law, Angie set up a blog for her and you can follow her story here. I just want to ask that you please keep her and the family in your prayers.
My special grandmother:
My grandmother, Nina, was admitted into the hospital on Thursday with some heart complications and breathing problems. She was released on Saturday and is feeling much better. I want to ask that you please keep her in your prayers as she is recovering.
Here is Cason with dad's sunglasses on...
