Tonsils Are Out!

Corbin all ready in his new Despicable Me pajamas the night before his surgery...

It took SEVERAL attempts to get a photo of Corbin that wasn't blurry because he was running around and being so silly. It's so nice that Chloe can't run away---I can take pictures of her so easily :)

This is our little man right before surgery after they gave him his silly juice :)

The surgery went great! He seemed to be in a lot of pain right when he woke up from surgery but a couple of hours later he was good to go. They had us give him pain medicine every 6 hours (even at night) for the first 5 days. He never complained or acted like he didn't feel good AND he never refused to eat or drink. We just finished up day 8 and we haven't given him anything for pain in 2 days. Every time we ask him how his throat feels, he says it's good and it doesn't hurt.  I don't know how though because I looked at it with a flashlight and it looks VERY painful to me.

On a side note we had to delay his surgery a couple of days due to coughing/wheezing. They gave us an oral steroid and put him on breathing treatments for the days leading up to the new surgery date. The steroids make him crazy hungry. So right after his surgery he was already telling us how hungry he was. I think that helped him after the surgery because he was so hungry he wasn't thinking about refusing to eat and drink. Plus he was SOOOO excited about getting to eat lots of ice cream.

He can't have crunchy foods for another week but other than that all is back to normal other than his voice has completely changed. They told us it would but I was shocked at how different he sounded!
