*You wear 18 month - 2T clothes and size 4-5 diapers.
*You weigh a little over 28 pounds according to our home scale.
*You eat 3 meals a day with whole milk from a sippy cup and usually a snack or two as well.
*You are a great eater. There are definitely things you don't like but you do like lots of healthy foods and you can eat a lot. We always have to end the meal---you never think you are full. When you don't want something, you clamp your mouth shut and shake your head no.
*You are getting so much better at using utensils. You still need help of course but you have made major improvements in the last month.
*We think you are going to be right handed. You seem to prefer using your right hand for your utensils but you use your left hand at times too so that could always change.
*You still take 2 naps a day and sleep 7:30-7:30.
*You are a chunky monkey and we think it is so cute :)
*You had tubes put in your ears on June 18th and your ears seem to be much better. The nurses at the surgery center said they think we have been feeding you a lot of steak because you are so big and healthy :)
*We discovered a new bottom tooth on July 11th. You now have 7 teeth.
*You are getting much better at sharing. You will even share your food now---sometimes.
*You have really started to understand tons of words. I can't even think of them all but we know that you understand milk, mama, dada, water, cat, window, bunny rabbit, paci, blanket, belly button, head, ears, toes, tv, eat, all done, ball, book, dog, hug, kiss, door, open, close, no, bye-bye, chair, and sit just to name a few. If I say bring me the milk, you will. If I say go give ___ to daddy, you will (most of the time). You definitely understand the word no. You shake your head no when you don't want to do something or don't want to eat something--it is so funny (for now). You also know the word go. If we even mention the word "go" you immediately hold your arms up and have a fit until one of us picks you up. You want to go wherever we are going.
*You point at things you want and get very upset if we don't give them to you.
*You still don't say much. You say mama ALL the time. You say dada sometimes and very rarely you will say bye. That's about it for real words---you babble constantly. You also have this loud, high pitched scream that you love to use, especially when we are out in public. You are not mad when you do it. In fact, you usually have a big smile on your face.
*You have learned how to take your diaper off very quickly, so we make sure to always keep shorts on you---just to be on the safe side.
*Lately you have really enjoyed your ring stacker and shape sorter toys. You like spending time playing outside even though it is very hot right now. You also love riding on your red car and practicing throwing balls with daddy.
*You are still very stubborn and are great at throwing fits. But, you also have the SWEETEST smile, the cutest facial expressions, and the most precious hugs and kisses. You are such a precious gift from God and we couldn't be more thankful for you---we LOVE you Cason!
14 Month Photo Shoot :)
You can locate your head, toes, belly button, and ears when we ask you where they are. You will only do it when you decide you want to play that game though so it is hard for us to catch it on camera. We were lucky enough to catch a couple of them on camera the other night.
Cason, where are your ears?
Cason, where is your belly button? (This one is your favorite! You love to find it on other people too. In fact, I'm worried that you are going to go up to a stranger and lift their shirt and touch their belly button!)
