Been Busy

We have been busy with friends the past few days and I have lots of cute photos to share.

We went to Lucy's birthday party this past weekend and had a blast of course. The party's theme was purple and it was just PRECIOUS. They even had purple M&M's with Lucy's picture on them---so cute!

Then, Cason had his 2nd visit to the dentist on Tuesday and he did great (and so did Corbin)---especially considering that we were there from 9:00-10:30 and no one even saw us until around 9:50. Thank goodness they have a tv on the ceiling and cartoons on a continuous loop :)

Then, Wendie and Cade came up for their annual trip for the rest of the week and we had so much fun. I sure do wish they lived closer----we love them dearly!!! 143!!!

Playroom art project...

Poor Corbin---when he gets upset he either twirls his hair with both hands or....

P.S. I'm not trying to be insensitive by taking pics of Corbin while he is upset. I am just capturing a memory that I can look back on later when he's all grown up.

Boys

I was just cracking up because I looked at the boys' growth charts and saw that at 12 months Cason weighed 26 pounds, 5.4 ounces. At 11 months, Corbin weighs 19 pounds 2 ounces---we will be lucky to be at the 20 pound mark by his 12 month appointment. Cason has brown eyes and brown hair. Corbin has blue eyes and blondish hair. They crack me up because they look and act so different and they came from the same two parents! They are both just precious and loved SO SO much. Scott and I are two very lucky parents.

11 Months Old

Corbin, you are already 11 months old! What have you been up to this month?

*You are still our tiny little boy weighing in at a little over 19 pounds.
*You are wearing mostly 6-9 month clothing but a few 12 month items fit great too.
*You wear a size 3 diaper.
*You are completely weaned now and you take 4 bottles a day. You are still having a lot of eating problems (as in you don't want to---LOL) but we are doing everything we can to remedy this as soon as possible.
*You take two naps a day and sleep at least 12 hours at night.
*You are crawling, standing, pushing walker toys, and cruising along furniture. You are not taking steps yet and it doesn't seem like it is in your near future but only time will tell.
*You are waving and saying bye-bye at the same time now. I thought dada was going to be your first word but you really just say it while babbling. Bye-bye is the only word we have seen you say purposefully so far. So bye-bye is your official first word. You babble a lot but I don't think those really count as words? Do they? It's a hard call!
*You love to clap and give high fives!
*You still self-soothe by sucking on your first two fingers and twisting your hair. It is so cute!
*You got 3 top teeth this month and you are working on 2 more!
*You are still a very happy and content little cutie-----except when we put you in the exersaucer!

Second Child Syndrome

I realized this week that I have way less pictures of Corbin that I did of Cason when he was this age---poor second child syndrome---LOL. It is not on purpose it's just that it is so much harder to take pictures when you have two little guys running around! And then lots of times when I do get my camera out, I take pictures of the boys together. I have tried to make an effort this week to catch up on getting more pictures of sweet Corbin all by himself :)

Corbin LOVES to mess with Cason's train table. He just wants to chew on all the trains and dinosaurs Cason hides up there from him. He  also loves to take apart the train tracks!

I also realized I didn't update on Corbin's test results. The sweet doctor called us from his vacation so I wouldn't have to worry for an extra week to let us know that everything came back clear from Corbin's biopsies. What that means is that physically Corbin is doing fine and he has no underlying problems causing him to not want to eat other than his reflux which we already knew about. The only thing they can guess is that his reflux was so painful that he now associates pain with eating. The next step is to continue with his reflux medicine and to go see a food therapist----this just makes me laugh--food therapy. They are supposed to retrain his brain so that he won't associate pain with eating. That's great and all and I really do hope it works but it apparently can take several months to see results AND they can't even get us in for our initial consultation until August 29th. I am just glad that Corbin is okay and that there is nothing wrong!!!

We were reunited with the Kempsons yesterday! They are finally back home and Cason was so excited to go see them! The older trio (Madi, Lucy, and Cason) had a lot of fun playing with one another and the babies too :)

T-Rex, Teeth & Time with Friends

Cason is still loving dinosaurs. He has several T-Rex shirts and he wants to wear them all the time. Our friend gave him a dinosaur hat this week and he would wear it all day if I would let him!

Corbin got another top tooth this week and I suspect another will pop out before the weekend is over. That will give him 5 teeth total----3 on top and 2 on bottom :)

We had fun with the Harrisons at the splash park this week! The kiddos loved their yummy sno cones :)

Blog Bum

I have been a blog bum lately---for whatever reason I have just been very anti-computer lately so I am going to try to do a quick catch up.

*Our neighborhood had a July 4th bike/stroller parade. We decorated our tricycle and stroller and joined the parade with our new neighbors that moved in 3 houses down. They have twin boys that will be 3 in September---I know the boys will have lots of fun getting to know one another! The Harrisons and the Landsbergers came over that night to play and eat and we FORGOT to take any pictures :(

*Corbin finally got a new tooth on July 10th. It was the top left one he has been working on for a LONG time.

*Cason is still doing great with potty training. I can't even remember the last time he had an accident (I'm sure he'll have one now that I wrote this). He has even started staying dry all night as well. He will wake up and tell us if he needs to go to the bathroom at night. We are so proud of him!

*Cason is still obsessed with dinosaurs---especially anything that has to do with "The Land Before Time" series!

*Corbin has still been having eating problems so we went to see our GI doctor and he recommended that we have a esophagogastroduodenoscopy. That is where they put a tube with a camera down your esophagus, then your stomach, then the first part of the small intestine to check for any problems. We had it today and Corbin did great---they had to put him to sleep and intubate him so it was very sad for momma but the whole process only took about 10-15 minutes. The doctor didn't see any major problems but they took biopsies to check for other issues and we will know the results next week sometime. The doctor said he thinks Corbin might have eczema in his esophagus which can make it painful to eat---we won't know for sure until we get his results back. If everything comes back all clear, then they are sending us to a food therapist. Yes, I said a food therapist---more on that later. Here are pics from today...
