22 Months

I can't believe I only have one more monthly post before my baby turns 2!!!

Cason, you are 22 months old, what have you been up to this month?

*You weigh between 32-33 pounds.
*You wear 24 month/ 2T clothing and some 3T shirts. You are a little more heavy on top than on bottom :)
*You wear size 5 diapers and size 6.5 or 7 wide shoes.
*You take one nap a day and sleep 11-12 hours at night (usually closer to 11). I think you are going to be an early bird like your mama.
*You are still a VERY picker eater. Enough said.
*You are saying new words all the time. You love to say hi to everyone you see and if they don't respond, you usually say it louder and louder. Elmo's name has changed from MoMo to Melmo. Your favorite word and your answer to 99.9% of questions is NO.  You know how to say yes, but you just don't use the word very often. I LOVE it when you say, "Mommy, I love you", it just melts my heart and gets you out of trouble as well---LOL.
*You love to take your socks and shoes off everywhere we go. In the car, in your stroller, at school, in a restaurant, and just about anywhere else we go.
*You can now jump up and down without holding on to anything all by yourself.
*You love to play with play-doh. You don't really make any creations on your own just yet, you just like taking it in and out of the containers and squishing it in your hands.
*You like to play with sticker books but coloring is not one of your favorite pastimes.
*You always want to play outside---you LOVE being outdoors.
*You have been pacifier free for one whole week now. The first couple of days were hard but the rest of the week has been a breeze. We always call your pacifier "paci" but for some reason you call it your "price".  The first couple of days, you would constantly ask for your "price" during bed times but thankfully  you haven't asked for your "price" in days. I'm so glad we didn't give in those first couple of days. I think it helped that you only got your pacifier at bedtimes. Way to go Cason---we are so proud of you for being such a big boy!

Yea!.....

Show those muscles Cason....

Catching Up....

Here are some photos to catch up on the past few days:

These are of Cason wearing my reading glasses. He found then on the table and wanted to wear them around. He looks so studious :)

These pics are of the Sesame Street Live show we took Cason to this weekend. I have to be honest, I was very nervous about how Cason would act sitting through an hour and a half long show even though it was Elmo. He is obsessed with Elmo but sitting still is not his cup of tea. He went with his girlfriends and he actually did a great job. We took a booster seat with us so he could see better and so that he would be strapped in and it was a life saver. He sat in his seat and was great all the way up until intermission. After he got out of his seat and ran around at intermission, he wasn't thrilled about getting strapped back in or sitting still. He was getting a little restless and hungry but Scott and I were overall very impressed with how well he did. He was no angel, but he never is---LOL. We had a great time!

On a side note we are "attempting" to go through pacifier boot camp this week. We are going to try to quit cold turkey instead of dragging it out over a long period of time. The ultimate goal is for him to be pacifier free before his 2nd birthday in May so we have time in case I give in this week--LOL. He only gets it during nap time and bedtime so those are the only times that will be an issue. Nap time definitely went better than bed time and I'm really nervous about what is going to happen when he wakes up in the middle of the night and looks for his paci. I hope we can be strong :)

Baby Moving?

My very favorite part of pregnancy is feeling the baby move around! I could sit and watch the Cason move around all day---it was just such an amazing experience. I am dying to feel this little boy move around but I know it is still too early. I felt Cason moving around at 18 1/2 weeks. I keep hearing you feel the baby move sooner with your second pregnancy. So I'm wondering at what point did you feel your baby move around with your second pregnancy????????

BIG NEWS!!!

We are so excited about our new little bundle of joy.  I am 12 weeks pregnant now and the little cutie is set to arrive on or before September 4th. I am very nervous about being so pregnant through the month of August but I guess I will just try to stay as cool as possible.

We did not anticipate finding out the gender so early but when we went in for our sonogram today it was very obvious what the gender was. Scott and I could tell all on our own. (This same doctor told us Cason was a boy at 12 weeks and he was obviously right) The doctor said he would be SHOCKED if we came back in 6 weeks and the gender changed. He said we shouldn't paint the room yet just to be on the safe side but that he was VERY confident that the baby was a BOY :). He also said that the baby looked wonderful today on the sonogram. It is always a relief when the doctor tells you everything is going great and that you have a healthy little baby. We would love and appreciate any and all prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and a healthy little baby.
