Precious Baby

5 Months Old!

I can't believe it has already been 5 months. Cason is getting so big. He was rolling over all the time and now he has decided to go on a rolling over strike. Hopefully he will resume his rolling over soon. He can sit up on his own for just a few moments at a time---but he is getting better and better. Cason loves to stand and he loves to play with his toes! He loves his oatmeal but isn't a fan of veggies just yet.

Here he is getting a "mini" bath in the sink after a diaper incident.

Look how much he has grown--this picture is from month 1...

And this picture is from this past weekend....

Here he is about to eat squash for the first time. He was very excited until I started feeding it to him---then not so much...

Here is our video of him eating squash for the first time :)

Swaddling

My friend Kristen told me about a sleep sack that helps babies get weaned off of swaddling a couple of weeks ago. We ordered one for Cason and we finally got it in. He loves it! He does wake up more often but he just needs time to get adjusted. Now that he can move around freely and there is no sleep positioner---he is all over the crib! As you can see in the pictures, his new favorite position is to move his head against the rails (I did not put him in his crib that way). We definitely will have to order another one so that we have a spare on hand when this is in the wash :)

Scott just calls it an expensive pillow case--but who cares if it works :)

Hanging out around the house and scissors

Hanging out in the Bumbo chair...

For some reason whenever Cason has diapers that leak, Scott is always missing. But the other day Scott happened to be home at the right time. I told him Cason needed a diaper change and Scott took him to the changing table. I told him it might be a good idea to check his back to see if there was a mess. Of course there was as you can see in the picture (we took other pictures but I do not want to gross you out). Anyway, Scott looked horrified and left the room. He came back with a pair of scissors!!! He was so disgusted that he wanted to cut Cason out of his outfit and just throw it away. I was laughing hysterically! And NO, we did not cut him out of his outfit.

September Fun

Cason still loves to stand. Here he is with dad attempting to stand with almost no help :)

Much to my dismay, we dressed him in his Longhorn warm up suit :)
Now we just need to get him an Aggie one as well.

Sitting on his own and trying to reach his paci. I am close by ready for the tumble :)

He got his pacifier and now he's on to his toes. He LOVES his toes!

On a side note....I got hooked on the Twilight books over the past couple of weeks. I've just finished them all and I LOVED them!!! I can't wait to see the next movie!!!

Tuesday Play Date

We had a great play date today with our friends Kathryn, Madi, Erin, and Lucy! Cason was the only boy and I think he loved it!
