Trip to Tyler

We made our first trip to Tyler with Cason this past weekend. I think every time he woke up from a nap there was someone new to hang out with.

He are Cade, Hudson, and Cason in their monogrammed onesies. Cade is 3 1/2 months, Cason is 2 1/2 months, and Hudson is 1 month old. They will get to grow up together--so cute :)

Here are Cade and Cason playing together and having fun :)

Grasping

We have been working on holding objects in our hands and he is finally getting the hang of it. And where does anything that he gets a hold of go....right to his mouth of course :)

Scott's Project

Scott wanted to change our dining room up a bit and he has been working on it the past couple of weekends. Here are the before and after pictures :)

4 years of marriage :)

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary--I can't believe how fast time has flown by. We took Cason out with us to dinner and Cason even got us a present (thanks Dad). It's hard to believe but this November will be 13 years since our first date!!! We've shared so many memories together over the years and I can't wait for all the ones we will share in the future. Thanks Scott for being such a great husband, friend, and father---I love you!

9 Weeks Old!

Cason had his 2 month check up today and all went well. I was very nervous about him getting shots but I did better than I thought--I didn't even cry. He did great--he cried (very loudly) for a few seconds after she gave him the shots and then went right back to sleep. The doctor said everything looks great. His stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 9.6 oz (70%)
Height: 23 1/4 inches (60%)
Head Circumference: 40.25 cm (55%)

Big Step

So we have this great bassinet that has wheels---therefore, I roll Cason with me everywhere I go if he is sleeping. I always know he is safe because he is always within sight. I am super paranoid that something will happen while he is sleeping if I can't see him and I knew I had to get over my fear. Yesterday, I finally started letting him take naps in his crib. We have a video monitor and an Angel monitor thanks to my friend Wendie who told me about hers (the Angel monitor will go off if he doesn't make any movements for 20 seconds). Therefore, I can let him take naps in his crib and not be worried that he will stop breathing. The video monitor allows me to look at him whenever I want. I know this sounds a little--no probably a lot overprotective but I can't help it!!! It will still be quite a while before I feel comfortable letting him sleep in his crib during the night but this is a big step for mom :)

Sleeping through the night update: We had a three great nights last week. Two nights he slept 6 hours and one night he slept 7 hours (I did have to give him his pacifier a couple of times but he would go right back to sleep). This week he is back to the same old waking up every 3-4 hours. I hope we can get back to the longer nights soon!

This is a picture of him in his crib---the cutest little boy ever!

Happy 4th of July

Here are a few recent pictures:

Here we are at Bass Pro buying Cason his first camo outfit :)

This is Cason in his Bumbo chair---yes I know that he is too little for this chair but I just couldn't resist an opportunity for a picture.

Hanging out around the house

He just enjoyed a nice bath. Scott thinks he looks like Rocky in his little robe :)
